I’m so glad she is at peace now. Her entire life has been completely hellacious. I can only hope her children find some stability and normalcy. And there is no bad mental health genetic component to their lives.

It saddens me as a Christian that you seem to be insisting on using a message of love as a sort of lever to get under people’s skins, but hey, whatever you need to get through the day, I suppose.
Mindy McCready clearly had a lot of pain, hopefully her children get the love and care they need from those responsible for them now.
Last chance: anybody who wants to argue about religion need to go do it in a Great Debates thread or a Pit thread.
I know that in my church it is believed that those who resort to suicide were in such a state of mental torture and anguish that they can hardly be held accountable for their actions, so we do not believe that suicides go to “hell” or whatever you want to call it. I hope her children have loving and nurturing homes to go to.

this is so very sad…may she rest in peace now, she deserves it…i just wish she could have found what she needed to be ok in this world. my sister had a friend who had depression and substance abuse…her family did an intervention and for a short time she was ok but then her personal demons got to her again and she od’d…
I wish the doctors at that rehab would have acted with more urgency to keep her alive instead of releasing her after twodays
This is so sad. I wish she could have found peace while she lived.

I don’t object to what James Otto Sweet Heart said. I will, however, be ignoring her advice. I’m not closing the thread because perhaps some posters would like to talk about Mindy McCready without being subjected to an argument about gods and hell and suicides.
Did anyone see the acknowledgement of this news on the Entertainment Tonight show yesterday? I hated it when they showed her having a seizure during that Celebrity Rehab show. I pray that her boys never have to see such stuff where their mom was concerned.

P.S. The host of that show was shown giving his two cents on this matter and when it was said that Mindy was the 5th person of the show to not be here anymore, that man was like, “She won’t be the last.” I wanted to shake him and say, “Do you even know the meaning of the word “faith”???” That man could have kept his mouth shut there because he doesn’t know what is going to happen with those who have been on his show. Any of them can get cleaned up at any time. 
Ah, I didn’t think you’d show up in the Pit to account for your behavior. Color me not surprised.
