So… I’ve been gone awile.

I mean, I stay away long enough to get some stuff done at work, build a coupla’ websites and a message board, get my wife pregnant :smiley: and paint our kitchen… now that I’m back, I hardly recognize the place!

And to top it all off, most people here have never heard of me.

Things that I wouldn’t be surprised to see have changed while I was gone:

Ummm… OK - maybe that wasn’t as funny an idea as I thought it would be. Get the joke? It’s supposed to be a list of really crazy things that would never, ever happen. As crazy as those things are, that’s how crazy all the changes feel to me. Get it?

Here’s the upshot: [I’ve been gone for a while and the place has changed a lot. Anyone here remember me? Can y’all fill me in on what I missed?

Welcome back ** sdimbert ** . You know that you can never really escape this place. It’s kind of like the Hotel California, you can check out any time you like but you can never leave.

Glad to hear you got so much done while you were AWOL. Especially that baby thing that yourself and the wife have going on. Congrats on that ! (Yes, you were AWOL, you didn’t ask your fellow Dopers if you could take time away from the board to have a real life !)
