The attacker is a fucking idiot. It’s not totally out of the realm of possibility that it will change the way the story is viewed - from News Corp gets grilled to dolt attacks 80 year old. That will certainly be the lead in the News Int papers. He should have sat on his hands and let the hearing take place and allow the focus to be on what was said and not what he did. Fucking tool.

The Parliamentary committee that has been looking at this is going to push out its conclusions this morning so as their findings can be debated today in the last session of Parliament before the summer recess. It’s pretty damning. Main finding is that they have evidence that NI “deliberately thwarted” the original hacking investigation. Other stuff is concluded too - all in attached article.
I think I am right in saying that these findings have no direct legal force - but it does seemingly leave the way open for a full criminal prosecution.
This is most damning paragraph in the report :-
“If at any time News International had offered some meaningful co-operation instead of prevarication and what we now know to be lies, we would not be here today.”
In other news, because I know you guys care so much about my love life, it was without a doubt the worst date I have ever been on. Turns out she is a militant vegan and after comparing me to the Nazis and rapists because I eat meat she walked out on me.
