Holy crap. They taught the poor kid by having him kidnapped, bound, stripped naked, threatened with sexual abuse and a gun, told that he would never see mommy again and would end up nailed to the side of a shed. I don’t think I have ever posted RO before, but holy crap that is some serious stupid and horrible abuse.
Recreational Outrage. The kind of stuff that one would expect anybody to be both outraged by and confused that any human being with an intelligence level above that of a tumbleweed could come up with such a harebrained scheme, much less that several others would go along with it.
Remember, the vast majority of child abductions are by non-custodial parents/relatives or family acquaintances or someone the child knows… Very few are actual strangers. From here.
RO – “Recreational Outrage” describes when a poster expresses righteous indignation and gets highly worked up (outraged) over some issue, typically some news occurrence that is completely irrelevant to the person’s own life and has no effect on that poster personally. The poster derives (recreational) satisfaction from expressing outrage and moral indignation, frequently including a sense of moral superiority, thus differentiating Recreational Outrage from other forms of outrage.

Anyone else not find it difficult to imagine some citizen who’s not in on the joke using lethal force to try to rescue this kid? This is why I shy away from Child Abduction LARPing.
