The points he makes, if true—specifically that there were more holes in things than Sirhan had bullets, and that RFK’s wounds’ gunshot residue don’t resemble wounds from a gun fired as far away as Sirhan supposedly shot—give some credence to the idea that there was a second gunman. Anyway, go read the op-ed.

Gunshot residue is not an exact science. Bullet hole counting pretty much is. It certainly wouldn’t be the first or the last case where the victim was shot by friendly fire. Nor even the first or last case where the actual shooter was covered for.

I do have a problem trying to believe (as he sometimes suggests) that SS never took the gun out of his pocket and that somebody else started (or finished) the shooting. That’s a whole other level of improbability.
