Okay I realize Pawn Stars is a “show” and the cheezy comedy routines are staged. But the Guys went to see Robosaurus which is a $5 million machine for Truck Shows and Airshows, really?
It was so obviously staged. The thing that bugged me is Chumly has arranged with the owners of Robosaurus to leave their big machine idle, arrange a parking lot that just framed the hotel Hooters, and do a demonstration ripping up a car that must have cost thousands to put on. Just a publicity stunt for Robosaurus.
Generally one qualifies the buyer for large ticket items before doing a demo. You don’t just let anyone take your $10 million yacht for a spin because they say the might be interested in buying it
While on the topic of Pawn Stars, which I do like, I also get annoyed at customers going back and forth for an additional $50 like their life depends on it, and then saying “Great now I can blow this at the casino” or something similar.
I’ve mentioned the Subway thing in a recent thread. The latest episode was even worse, as they had the workout guy actually bring them Subway lunch as a "healthy " alternative. One more of those ridiculous in-show advertisements and I’ll be forced to stop watching.
I saw one episode where Hoss had to do the night shift because the Dad wanted the night staff better trained. I once heard him say they have 35 or so employees? Anyways Chumly came back late at night with two real cute dates to give Hoss a Subway sandwich. Way to go Chumly. Wonder if the girls were courtesy of the show?
