Every time I get a new game I hear one of my fav bands thumpin while I’m playin… What’s the best band / game match-up you’ve heard… or would like to hear?

Yes they do. Have you played GTA3? If you have, you know what I mean when I say it would be great to have a bigger selection on the “radio”! I love whenever you get a game like DOA or Gran Turismo 3and you hear a band like Aerosmith or Garbage in the intro! I’d be curious to know what music they’re going to have playing in the new Mortal Kombat. Probably music composed specifically for the game, but it would be fun to have some kind of aggressive music playing while you execute a fatality move! Have you seen the new Sub-Zero? I really thought that Trent Reznor did an amazing job on the original Quake soundtrack. He’s supposed to be doing Doom 3 as well, I look forward to that. Front Line Assembly made some decent music for the Quake III soundtrack too. The first ever band/video game combo was a game that is harder to find than the soundtrack, Inferno, which had a trance soundtrack by Alien Sex Fiend, and it’s really good.

Yeah, Reznor is Quake was definitely appropriate. Garbage was in Gran Turismo and Aerosmith was in DOA2. Dry Kill Logic has a song in MLB Slugfest and Adema will be in Mortal Kombat 5.

Since some people have thought about 9.11 enough and might want to keep their minds on less heartbreaking issues, feel free to add to this frivolous, non-important thread as a way to stay focused on the lighter side of life. However, I say this as someone who respects the day and all that it entails.
Feh. Get an Xbox and you can make your own soundtrack for many of the games. Just rip a CD to the HDD and jam away…
Actually, I have an XBOX as well as PS2. I completely forgot that you could do that! There’s probably tons of things the XBOX can do, I just haven’t taken the time to figure it out. I guess in general, I’m content with the in-game music. Now, if only I could re-do some of the cheesy voice-overs! (case in point, some of the characters in Resident Evil: Code Veronica sound pretty gay.)
