I haven’t posted any completed model projects here for the longest time; but today I’m planning to post pictures of two of my recent completions. Both are from the same company, Ramshackle Games, out of England.
Their kits, which are intended for fantasy wargaming use, are cast with polyester resin, apparently for cost reasons. It’s an unfriendly, brittle material.
The first kit is the Brass Coffin, which I see as sort of an expeditionary tractor. I added another axle and a turret on top, and I hollowed out the solid hull so I could add lights to illuminate the viewing slits. I had planned to make it green or blue, but Mrs. R said she liked it in the black primer; so black it is.
The second is the Huntsman Spider Tank. Again, I added lighting; and I built a little turret for the top, and I photoetched some “feathers” for the smokestack. I had fun building it, but cleaning up and painting eight legs got a little tedious; at one point I emailed the company and asked if they had any spider kits with one leg
She was right. Lovely model. I like the basing, too. Would be nice to see a shot of it in dim light, so the lighting stands out more.
The sniper does look like she’s pantsless, though.
Look, it’s a steampunk Tachikoma! Love it. The lighting really sells this one.
That’s nothing. Look at the lady from the Spider Tank - no pants and a push up jacket. Not to mention an extra couple of arms.
Great work as usual @Rocketeer, I love looking at your stuff. Any chance you could post a link to the kind of lights and wiring you use? Or do you do that all by hand too?
