Rod Serling's description of The Twilight Zone also describes the Internet

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area we call the Internet.

That’s the sign-post up ahead! Your next stop–The Internet!

That explains that man on the wing. Right there! Can’t you see him?

I keep adjusting the vertical and horizontal and still can’t get it to display right.

You are entering the vicinity of an area adjacent to a location. The kind of place where there might be a monster, or some kind of weird mirror. These are just examples; it could also be something much better. Prepare to enter: The Internet.

I can’t believe it took six posts to come up with The Scary Door, and it wasn’t me. :frowning:

That explains why I keep bumping into Burgess Meredith 'round here.
mmm

Coz he can’t see you.

“Why should I believe you? You’re Hitler!”

Coincidence, I think not!

The internet! It’s a cookbook!!!

I hope this thread doesn’t get cornfi

We have connected all of the world’s most stupid computer networks to create the stupidest computer network of them all.

Turns out it’s the Internet.

That is because We are controlling transmission.

I can’t wait to get all these bandages off my face so I can see the Internet.

And to look like a normal person, too, of course.

^ Shouldn’t you be out at the SEE-ment pond?

You’re a bad man. You’re a very bad man…

.

I will cry of silence, because those are The Outer Limits references, not Twilight Zone ones.

That’s weird, it’s like something out of that twilighty show about that zone.
