Any new evidence/conclusion as to what these flying rods are that fascinate Art Bell so much?
I’m not sure what you are talking about. Is there a link that you could post?
My chopped '29 Roadster really flys! What kind of rod is Mr. Bell talking about?
Elmer J. Fudd,
Millionaire.
I own a mansion and a yacht.
Just do a search on ‘rods’ and you’ll find out what I’m talking about, or visit Art Bell’s web site. Basically, they are these flying rod shaped things that have been accidently caught on various home videos.
Yeah, this mystery isn’t a mystery. They are insects. The unique look is achieved when they fly in front of a high speed camera. I saw an entomologist on TV, and he showed footage that he filmed and had the same effect.
Now, the Orvis Trident 969 is a wonderful outfit for striper fishing, but I don’t feel I can justify $1,150 to The Wife for another rod and reel combination. I know it comes with the line and backing and case, but that still seems a little steep for my budget.
What? Really? Oh, never mind then…
inanimate carbon rods!
