I just wan’t to know what you think about ROger Morneau and his claims about Satan’s plan…maybe you’re a believer, maybe not, but i would like a unbiased answer as you almost always do(%99.5)… (Sorry for any errors english is not my first language)
You mean his argument that Satan used hypnosis to implant the Theory of Evolution into Charles Darwin so as to discredit a literal seven day creation? That claim?
Yeah…well…
I have to say I’m not really sold on it.
Since this is about religion, let’s move it over to Great Debates.

Roger Morneau and Satan’s Council? Didn’t they open for Black Sabbath during the Paranoia tour?
I can’t say that I do.
I think there is no such thing as Satan, so I expect I wouldn’t think much of whoever this Roger guy is.
Is that like in the Island of DOctor Morneau?
Got a link? I hate to think what would get returned if I searched for this. Since it is pretty certain that neither God nor Satan exist, my immediate thought is booooogus, but perhaps you have some evidence.
Make a little effort here people. The OP said English is not his first language.
Roger Morneau (1925-1999) was a Seventh Day Adventist Christian. He wrote some books and made some films about his belief that Satan was actively plotting against humanity.
Morneau was raised a Catholic but left the church when he was a young man. He says he met some people who recruited him into a Satanic cult. Morneau says that he found his faith in God restored instead and he was able to escape the cult and become a Seventh Day Adventist.
Morneau told people about his supposed experiences in the cult and their goals. According to Morneau, the cult was being run by Satan. Satan held a Great General Council in the 1700’s in which he set up his plans to destroy the world. Among the items in this plan were causing the industrial revolution, destroying belief in the Bible by introducing the theory of evolution and modern medicine, corrupting Christianity by introducing idolatry, and using hypnotism to convince people that Satan wasn’t real.
My personal opinion is that this didn’t happen. But who knows? Maybe Satan hypnotized me into thinking this.
But if you do believe in fairy tales you might as well believe this one as well.
You can even come up with some good shit of your own, chagqq.
Be creative.
I don’t know. If I’m going to believe a fairy tale, I’m not going to pick one that tells me modern medicine and technology are tools of evil. I’d rather go with a delusion that improves my quality of life.
There’s no denying things got way too silly, but then that was the '70s for you. But I think his women were the sexiest, and he still did a better job than George Lazenby.
Yeah, like the Prince of Darkness is going to tell the truth to any of his followers. He is the Father of Lies - he probably laughs louder at the poor souls who believe they are advancing his agenda than at anyone else.
You will not find a single person on this MB who is going to say they agree with Morneau.
you are tempting so much that I can only conclude you are one of Satan’s minions yourself
video is here by the way. Morenau actually seems a lot like you would think Satan would act, to me…
Satan: “And now, as part of my diabolic plan to lure humanity into sin and error, I will use my powers to deceive Charles Darwin into conceiving of evolution!”
Demon 1: “But Master, isn’t evolution actually corr-”
Demon 2: “Forget it; he’s rolling.”
Ok, ok. But other than increased technological efficiency, secular humanism, a method of communication with the subconsciousness and a more complete understanding of our genetic origins, what has The Prince of Darkness ever given us?
Uh, a solid foundation for curing disease, injury and increasing the human lifespan.
Ok, ok. So other than…
Evolution, yeah, I can see that being part of Satan’s plan. But modern medicine too? Dang, and here I find myself as servant of the Dark Lord in addition to being a pharma shill. At least it pays well.
From the frying pan into the fire…poor Roger.
There’s a cottage industry of Christian converts who will go on and on about the evil and sin they were involved in before they found Jesus. Hey, if you needed Jesus to stop shooting heroin and raping middleschoolers then I sure am glad you found Jesus. I find that it’s not very difficult to refrain from arson and manslaughter myself, so I guess I don’t need Jesus myself. But if that’s what you need, then I guess it’s for the best.
Morneau v. Lazenby is entirely irrelevant. David Niven is the ONE TRUE inhabitant of the role.
