You might be amazed to learn that it’s easier to put agents around a Florida house than it is to instantaneously move troops from Italy to Libya and put down a sudden insurrection.
If Trump is trying to increase the money that NATO receives, isn’t it knowing which groups are already contributing the most? It would be hugely embarrassing to demand that the groups that are already paying the most should pay more, wouldn’t it?
Russias military spending is about 70 billion. China a bit below 150 billion.
UK spends 55, France and Germany 45 each. (Forbes 2017)
Total NATO military spending in 2017 according to SIPRI: 900 billion. About 52 % of the entire worlds spending.
How much is enough?
I expect the President not to adopt the rhetorical demeanor of a toddler throwing a temper tantrum in a toystore. Perhaps you consider this an unreasonable expectation.
And yet you raised this very thing as some sort of ‘gotcha’ above.
Someone is certainly deranged about Trump. Me, I’m rather sanguine about the progress of the investigation, which is producing enough somethingberders to feed an army of Wimpys.
They sent more men and weed whackers to mow my lawn than they sent to land on the moon. Think about that for as long as you possibly can.
They’ve sent more men into space then they’ve sent to investigate a criminally corrupt President. Think about that.
I demand to know why no FBI agents were sent to arrest Benghazi!
They were too busy reading emails.
How long would it take? A day at most if Obama and Clinton wanted to act? I think so, my friend.
The ambassador requested help. None came. Just saying its a stark contrast.
OMG, someone should hold some congressional hearings on this. HastagShocking!
Do we really need to rehash Benghazi?
Whoa, Benghazi! (Bam-ba-Lam)

Oh god, that’s hilarious. Why would the FBI send anybody to Benghazi?
clap
To keep them occupied so they don’t investigate the president…I mean, there might still be clues!
Trump has no interest in strengthening NATO. His talk about having other nations increase their contributions has to do with his personality disorder of being paranoid that other countries are freeloaders; whereas he sees himself and the U.S. as the ones everyone else should suck up to. He doesn’t care about NATO, he cares about money.
It’s like saying that someone who hoards sugar packets from restaurants is really looking out for the nation’s obesity rate: no, their purpose of taking the sugar packets is their own derangement, as opposed to trying to make other eat healthier.
Everyone has more interest in trade than war; its called being a developed nation.
And the consequence of that is that Europe has more interest in discouraging Russias land grabs than in trade with just Russia. Nations with a history of war or conquest on their territories in living memory realize that war is destructive to prosperity.
I remember a fellow at a different forum. He claimed to work in an embassy and that Europe would stop the sanction “any moment now” and that his friends in the embassy had told him so. Because Europe wanted to trade with Russia he said. Tremendous friend to Russia, really.
And the years have passed and the sanctions are still in place.
No, it’s hashtagBenghazi!
Sure, Obama and Clinton could have gotten troops there within a day, if they’d wanted. Do you think Obama and Clinton could have gotten troops to Benghazi in under an hour? That’s how fast they would have needed to arrive, given that the first American was dead within an hour, all four were dead in less than eight, and all of the Americans in Benghazi were evacuated in a little over twelve hours?
The attack at Benghazi started around 9:40 pm local time. At approximately 10:30 pm, a team of CIA personnel from the annex arrived at the consulate and removed Smith’s body; despite attempts, they were unable to locate Stevens in the smoke-filled building.
Around 1 am, locals found Stevens and took him to hospital; he was pronounced dead about an hour later, after CPR proved unsuccessful.
At 1:30 am, a security team from US Embassy Tripoli arrived in Benghazi; they finally arrived at the CIA annex about 5 am.
Around 5:15 am, two CIA personnel at the annex (one of whom had arrived from Tripoli moments earlier) were killed in mortar fire.
All remaining American personnel, including the bodies of the four dead, left for Tripoli around 10 am.
Given this compressed timeline, what do you think Obama and Clinton realistically could have done differently once the attack started?
Don’t be presumptuous. You are in no way my friend.
They should have sent the LA SWAT team to bring in Stone.
