Roger Waters performing "The Wall"

I was at the 10/10/10 show in Washington DC. It was an incredible production. So much more than just a rock concert, it was a whole audio visual experience.

Here are a couple of video clips I took:
“What Shall We Do Now?”
“Mother”
“The Trial”

Agreed. He has become an extremely handsome gentleman. Which is surprising since he was kind of the ugly duckling back in the day. He’s much hotter than David Gilmour now, who I used to really crush on  Now I am crushing on Roger!

I just want to mention that I saw the show twice (9/30 in Boston, 10/12 in NY) and I’m willing to say it was the best rock show I’ve ever seen.

Seriously, the only negative I can offer was the (understandable) lack of energy (and subsequent key change) during “One of My Turns.” That’s it. 67 year old Roger has trouble screaming & wrecking that hotel room every night. The show was brilliant in every other way. I barely missed Gilmore’s voice, and while his guitar wasn’t quite there, it wasn’t really about that. It was about The Wall, and Roger’s vision of it. His hi-tech, hi-def vesion of it that was impossible to do in 1980…or even in Berlin. This was the real deal, and it was awesome.

I cannot say enough good things about this show. Go see it.

Loved the show. Roger was great, his age never did seem to detract from the show and in contrast to the material he was presenting Roger was having a great time interacting with the audience.

The only downside was the audience, it was often lifeless or distracted. Still, great show and worth the money.

I really, really, REALLY wanted to go to the show. In fact I started a thread here some months ago when I first heard RW was doing this tour.

But, I’m out. Things have changed in the past year, and now I have a hard time spending that kinda cash… and I don’t want to go alone anyways. C’est la vie.

This will be the first solo RW tour that I will miss. :frowning:

They didn’t mind people taking pictures either so I did: Photo Montage. They frowned on people taking video, but thier really wasn’t a way to stop them.

Saw the show last night in Philly… absolutely incredible production… a complete rock “opera” with stunning computerized visualizations and excellent sound quality…

this is a must-see for fans of the original album and long-time concert-goers… having been to hundreds and hundreds of concerts over the past 30+ years, this was, by far, the most mind-blowing production and audio-visual concert “experience”.

I scammed my way in for free.

Just got home from the Tacoma show. It was absolutely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’ve never seen anything like it before and I probably won’t again.

I can’t wait to hear my friend at work tell me about it - he went to that show last night. I get to hear about Roger & he gets to hear about Penn & Teller, two weeks after I babbled about Hair. For two couples that never go out, we’ve been to a lot of shows this month!
Could you take pictures at the Dome?

There was an announcement before the show that pictures were allowed as long as the flash was turned off. I ended up snapping a couple hundred pictures on my phone myself (some of them you can even tell what it’s a picture of!), and the audience was awash in a sea of lit-up cell phone screens.

I’ll be seeing it on Tuesday. Can’t wait.

Take a decent camara and get some really good pics. Not a huge Nikon with a detachible lens, but they don’t seem to mind point and shots with huge optical zooms.

My seats were at a pretty sharp angle. I don’t really have a decent camera. And my picture taking skills suck. So any pictures I might have taken would’ve sucked. On top of that, I forgot to even take my cell phone in. :smack:

But it’s quite a show. I love The Wall, even if it is sometimes a bit too subtle. :stuck_out_tongue:
