I like the way Disney has worked Alan Tudyk as Big Hero 6 into the movie.

I love that shot of the heroine walking across that gantry as the TIE fighter rises in front of her.
And also the shot of the Death Star eclipsing the sun.
I wonder, is some of this story set on Alderaan? Must be.
I would think so because I read an article that said Jimmy Smits was reprising his role as Bail Organa.

What would’ve been more amazing is if it had been Vader’s TIE.
I’m convinced that Ezra was actually Po, the X-wing pilot character.

I’m quite pleased at the AT-AT getting smacked in the face with the rocket.
Ezra is not Poe. For starters, Ezra is the same age as Luke.
Although, I suspect that will actually be a low point for the heroes. It doesn’t look like it did any real damage.
I can’t shake the feeling that Ezra is Snoke.

Anyway, it’s not a sequel to The Force Awakens. This is a stand-alone movie set just weeks before the original Star Wars, telling the story about how the Death Star plans got into the hands of the Rebel Alliance.
To orient yourself: Expect a scene at the end of Rogue One that will immediately lead into the beginning of the first Star Wars (Ep IV, A New Hope).
Or to put it more plainly, expect a scene where a young Princess Leia Organa is told to deliver the stolen plans to General Kenobi on Tatooine.
(I really wouldn’t be surprised if some tech allows ILM to insert a young Fisher into the film.)
As much as I would love to see this, with a double who can be digitally augmented (Mae Whitman remains my first choice), more likely they’ll use Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa for this part.
That thought crossed my mind. Smits is definitely in it, and I think he was spotted on the Yavin IV set. But there have been persistent rumours of a digital Cushing making an appearance, so it’s not out of the question.
