We all know the pain of spam, but I’m trying to figure this one out. As of about 5 or 6 days ago, my spam box has been flooded with offers for Rolex watches. Sure I still get the same old crap which is mostly cut out by my spam filter, but this slew of Rolex offers – and I’m talking about 5 of them an hour at least – is really sudden. How do disparate groups of spammers all of a sudden jump on this new bandwagon? Or is it the same guy sending it through 5000 different servers?

PS - let’s let the lawyers live and kill all the spammers instead.

I’ve been getting the same stuff for about 2 weeks now and was wondering the same thing. Do you also get the mortgage offers that say you’ve been approved that are filled with really poor spelling? Does anyone reply to these? BTW I only get them at work.

Well, the mortgage stuff I’ve been getting for ages, and most of those are caught by my spam filter. It’s just the absolutely sudden wave of Rolex offers that has me surprised.
