First, let me clear this up: I’m talking about the original RCT, not RCT2 here. I haven’t asked flodjunior if I can borrow his copy of RCT2 yet.

Okay, I’ve built a waterslide at Bumbly Beach. At the start of a downhill section, a crack has started to appear in the tube. I know it’s a crack and not just an illusion caused by the game’s infamously low-grade graphics because I made the boats bright yellow and I can see a flash of yellow as they whiz through. The ride has been inspected at least once since the crack appeared, but the mechanic didn’t seem concerned.

So… has this happened to anyone else? Is the waterslide going to crash if I don’t fix it? And if so, what motivated the programmers to stick that in - station brake failures not exciting enough for 'em? :dubious:

Why don’t you just close the waterslide for a minute and replace the part of the tube that has the crack? It’s easy to do, and if you’re worried the thing will burst, it’s a small investment. I don’t know why the mechanic doesn’t notice, however, and a waterslide has never burst on me - but you never know.

Probably just another example of RCT’s parts not exactly fitting together. I’ve seen similar things at tunnel entrances & exits.
