I recently read your findings about the truth about the meaning of the 33 on the bottle .Being a member of one of the former brewmasters family I’m sure that is not the reason.
Wecome to the boards, dice33. I moved your post to Comments on Cecil’s Columns, which is where you post comments on Cecil’s columns.
Also, to help people follow along, it’s considered good form to post a link to the column you’re talking about. You can simply cut and paste the url like this…http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a2_044.html, or you can dress it up by coding it like this Why is there a “33” on Rolling Rock beer labels?
Please tell us what you know about this. It’s a pet project of mine that I’ve spent over 50 hours on.
And, before this turns into a rehash of other replies to Cecil’s column, I’ve done a quick search of previous threads:
http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/search.php?searchid=906071
This will allow guests to read previous threads, since they don’t have to ability to search.
Also, as a pointer to the newcomer, it doesn’t do around here to merely assert or deny something without justification. I could say I invented Rolling Rock – that doesn’t make it so. If Cecil’s answer is wr… less than complete, telling us what the “real” reason is would be appreciated far more than your opening statement.
I’m getting, “Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.”
I’m working on it. I coded it right. There seems to be a decay problem overnight.
