Heads up – I just read a review that said tonight’s episode runs long, so if you’re TiVoing, add 5 minutes.

Yep. Tivo says 1:15, and the blurb is leading me to believe that my call on the finale may be right. Man, I’m gonna miss this show!

Thanks, but doesnt tivo and DVR automatically record the whole show? Even if it goes over? I just watch it on demand anyways.
It depends if HBO has accurately communicated the schedule. Some networks are notorious about saying a program ends at 9:30, only to run it late and end at 9:31. Then the TiVo helpfully cuts off the last minute because it doesn’t know any better.

Yep. Tres expensive and the ratings weren’t the blockbuster they wanted. Too bad.
Well, they certainly didn’t spend money on battle scenes. I was looking forward to seeing Pharsalus and they turned it into some surreal moment of slow motion, mud, and a falling banner.
The sets are gorgeous, the clothes are magnificent, and I’m sure James Purefoy has his own trailer. Still…you there’s a reason it’s on HBO and not NBC. I guess you can have either quality or audience, but not necessarily both. 
You came, you saw, you conquered, Rome. I shall miss you.
HBO: the channel that canceled Deadwood, greatest show on TV ever, but let the Sopranos run on and on into a pile of crap. It’s too bad about that. And it’s too bad about Rome, which had an even better second season than its first, IMO. I’m sure the finale is going to be awesome.
I think this is the best show on TV right now. I’m almost hesitant to watch this last episode right away-- I don’t want it to be over! Ah well, I loved watching the reruns of season 1, so maybe I’ll get just as much of a kick out of doing the same for season 2.
Don’t fret too much if you miss tonight’s showing somehow, or if your VCR doesn’t catch the end-- HBO plays it several times again during the coming week. My DVR has it as 1 hr 15 min.
Well, guess we won’t be seeing Actium…
