Rotten.com is an absolutely bad-ass site.

This site kicks ass, plain and simple. Most people think of it as just a bunch of sick pictures of corpses, but this is a very small-minded view. It does have those, and plenty of them, but it has tons of other stuff too and the gorey pictures is really just a small part of the site.

I think the best thing about it is its Library feature. It’s like an encyclopedia of common shit (sex, politics, entertainment and the like) but with a humorous and sarcastic spin on everything. It also has an archive of celebrity mugshots, and an awesome “Biographies” section which covers tons of celebrities and historical figures.

Everyone should check out Rotten.com. Be warned, it’s not for everyone. It does have gory pictures, but they don’t come up on the main site unless you click on their links. Mainly there’s lots of swearing and sexual content, so it’s not really work-safe unless you’re looking at the Library section. It is a great site.

I agree. I’ve found lots of stuff on the site that’s informative and amusing, despite the gore. The analysis of Kim Jong Il’s leadership, for example, is really well done.

Just an aside on your gush, I actually visit www.dailyrotten.com on a daily basis, and I can affirm it is worth the work-wasting time.

Yes

but they rejected my headline:

Retired Bird’s Eye executive found in refrigerator

Correction:
Retired Bird’s Eye executive found frozen in refrigerator

Only if they update it on a regular basis… Sometimes it goes dead for months.

Where is this article at?

Kim Jong II

Not quite such a good article on Ho Chi Minh, though.

I was interested in their story about Al Qaeda hijacking a passenger airliner with the intent of crashing it into building.

In Paris, in 1994.

“Nobody could have predicted,” right.

There are quite a few articles that don’t seem to be done or need construction. It’s kind of disapointing when you’re expecting a highly entertaining article and barely see a Timeline.
