Decisions, decisions …
Forget the Twisters, the heat will kill you today. It is 99°f currently there.
7300 Rough Riders Trl, Frisco, TX 75034
we stayed home. Sky is grey and menacing.
I’m watching the game. Rain has begun, but the announcers don’t seem concerned: “Hope we can finish the game before it really comes down.”
At this point, though, rain can only help Hamilton. They couldn’t be doing much worse.
We’re at home and there’s lightning flashes. We’re a couple of klics from the stadium
Riders win; 3-0 record; 1st in the west; swept Hamilton in the season series.
Rain and wind, but looks okay.
Saskatchewan won easily; Hamilton simply wasn’t prepared to take on Saskatchewan. So many errors, and Saskatchewan’s defense was prepared to make the most of every one. Which it did, beautifully.
Glad to hear that there are no tornadoes. Rain and wind can be handled; tornadoes, not so much.
A big cell went just north of Saskatoon, and there are reports on the Saskatoon subreddit of tornadoes touching down near Warman and Aberdeen. No serious damage reported so far, at least from the tornadoes. My BIL was out at the family farm and posted a picture of a bucket full of walnut-sized hailstones.
Nary a drop of precipitation in Saskatoon, though.
Edit: revised the size of the hailstones down when I realized the person holding the hailstones was my grand-niece rather than my sister.
Must be nice to get summer rain. I fear our arid summer obnoxiousness has just started here in Texas, and we won’t get any real relief until probably about mid-September.
Tell that to people in Minnesota!
One commentator said after the game that Rider fans probably can’t decide which they like more:
Riders start the season 3-0;
Bombers start the season 0-3.
