Rounding the corner to Turkey Day... The November weight loss thread

It’s now November, and I’m down just over 70 lbs. I’m still on Weight Watchers and still doing OK on it, but the weight loss is slowing down a bit. I should exercise more, I think.

Last week, though, I had my driver’s license turned down because the photo didn’t look enough like me because my face has thinned out so much. This is the second time this has happened, so I hied myself down to PennDOT to find out about getting a new photo taken. $13.50 and about 10 minutes later, I had a new license that looks like me. It is Election Day this Tuesday, after all, and I want to be able to vote. (Note for the humor-impaired/non-USians among you: this is sarcasm based on the idea that we have to have photo ID to vote and that they’re going to be picky about the ID.)

So, how are y’all doing this month, and how do you plan to deal with Thanksgiving?

Congratulations on your loss! Good idea to have ID that looks like you!

I haven’t been participating in the weight-loss threads so far, but since 8/15 when I actively started watching my calories and exercising (again) I have lost 13lbs. I am good with the idea of slow, steady loss. My doctor seems to think I’m doing just fine. I am down nearly 30lbs from my highest weight (summer '10), but about 6 mos of that was not even bothering to try and wallowing in self pity. I’m all done with that now.

As for Thanksgiving, it will be interesting this year because we are spending the week at Disneyland and I will be planning my strategy for eating in (and out of) the parks that whole week.

Down approximately 95 pounds since the end of February. I’m not really liking the change in weather, since I think I’m going to miss outdoor cardio.

I have lost 35 lb over the last 13 months, 3 in October. November will be/has been a minor disaster since first came last (extended) weekend visiting one son and there will be 11 days centered around Thanksgiving visiting another son. I make no attempt to diet during these visits.

Totally awesome!

So I went to weigh in this week, and I’ve lost another 2.4 lbs., for a total of 73.6. Even better, I am no longer obese, at least according to the BMI chart; I’m merely overweight. Of course, that and $0.75 will get me a newspaper, but it still makes me feel all warm n’ fuzzy n’ stuff.
