Router Help

I just bought a new E3200 Linksys router. I have an old d-link router that I want to use for dual-band. Can someone please explain to me how I set it up. I have had many conflicted setup procedures and I don’t want to screw it up.
Thank you

Your D-Link might have a “bridge mode” available. If so, that might simplify things greatly.

In the absence of a one-click solution, this is what you probably want:

Configure one router to act as DHCP server (the Linksys).
Set up other router with DHCP server disabled (D-Link)
***Change the IP address of the D-Link router from the default to another address in the same network (e.g. change it from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2)
Modify the Linksys DHCP server’s address range so that it doesn’t stomp on the D-Link router’s address (e.g. start at 192.168.1.100, total of 50 addresses)
Tape over the WAN port of the D-Link router to remind you not to use it.
Plug one of the LAN ports of the D-Link router into a LAN port of the Linksys.
Plug your Internet connection into the WAN port of the Linksys.

Now you should be able to administer the Linksys router (and your network) by going to 192.168.1.1 and the D-Link bridge by going to 192.168.1.2

Log in to the D-Link and set up the wireless as you wish.

Your Linksys router will be doing the firewall and router duty. All the D-Link will do is act as a wireless access point, not issuing numbers and not doing NAT stuff.

Thank you for the response,
But if my D-Link router does have a one-click solution how would I access the menu to change to bridge mode.
