Roy Wood Jr. is leaving The Daily Show

He’d love the top job, but there have been no indications that he has it or even who their choice of host will be from Comedy Central. Apparently, Hasan Minaj was a leading candidate, but they’ve cooled on him.

I always found Wood to be immensely talented and funny, and I hope we see him in something new quite soon.

I imagine it will not be long before we see Roy in his own show in some format. I’ll certainly watch if able.

Wood and Jordan are the two I was hoping for. Minaj can be funny but he annoys the crap out of me most of the time.
