If you are not from Canada, USA or Britain, has the media in your country become obsessed with the Royal Wedding ? They say billions are going to watch, but is that for real ?
Thailand is going ape shit over the royal wedding. In fact, there has been almost a week of fighting with Cambodia on the border over some godforsaken patch of land containing an Angkor-era Hindu temple ruin. A ceasefire was called today, and I heard a serious report that it was so the soldiers could all watch the royal wedding. I’m not sure if the report is accurate, but it was presented in all seriousness.
It’s getting plenty of coverage here, yes.
I can easily believe it.
I can’t believe they didn’t schedule the wedding for a time that would be more convenient for Americans to watch live.
Seriously, I think weddings were traditionally held in the morning, so they’re just holding to tradition. So Americans (and Canadians) are outta luck on the time zone thing.

I tried to watch the news this AM, but apparently nothing of any import is happening anywhere in the world besides “The Royal Wedding”.
