Rpgs

a quick poll. Who out here plays RPG’s and which ones do you play?

I play D&D, Various white wolfs, a few home growns and many many more.

I play IFGS (a LARP–Live Action Roleplaying Game, if you’re not familiar with them) and Ars Magica currently. At various times in the past, I’ve also played (in rough chronological order):

D&D/AD&D (every edition so far)
Star Frontiers
Gamma World
Toon
Paranoia
Lost Souls
Vampire
Werewolf

Thought this was going to be about rocket propelled grenades. .:smack: Nevermind.

I play most computer RPG’s that come out. I prefer the character oriented (Planescape:Torment) to the combat oriented (pretty much everything else) enough that I’d probably really get into it but I don’t know anyone interested in it other than me.

Er, it being tabletop RPGing.

D&D, and an old obscure one called Morrow Project.

Back when we had enough time on our hands, my friends and I played Rifts. I would like to get into Call of Cthulu, but I’ve nobidy to play it with so no dice.

I play MUD (Multi User Dungeon/Domain). This is online, text based roleplay in 3d (but text based) world built for the purpose.
My game is Valheru at www.valheru.com and has in common with other online games that there is about a half’n’half mix of people who are there to rp and those who are there to just kill stuff and get rich. It’s a good game, I have been there quite a while

I play 3 live games (soon to be 4 and if I can squeeze it in 5) as well as about 3 online games…

The Live games are 2 Vampire (Modern Edmonton and Dark Ages London), 1 Werewolf (Edmonton). Soon to add another vampire (Dublin) and the odd one of the original vampire game (Vancouver) I played except I found a… lets just say higher class of role player. I go back every so often just to socialize and show them what a decent role player is like.

The online games are New Bremen, Terranoire and just a regular chat where a bunch of us meet up and rp and have for years. That’s all I do…

I am currently in a hiatus but I used to play a lot of RPG’s:

D&D
AD&D
Middle Earth Role Playing
Role Master
Ars Magica
Fantasy Hero
GURPS
TWERPS (The World’s Easiest Role Playing System)
Warhammer
DragonQuest
RuneQuest
Villains and Vigilantes
Champions
Top Secret
Espionage
Danger International
Morrow Project
Cyberpunk
Shadowrun
Other Suns
Space Opera
Delta-V

Scares me too

I’ve tried the older Star Wars RPG. I’ve also played Alternity and I might’ve given Gamma World a whirl, but I can’t remember. Mostly I’ve played AD&D 2nd edition and D&D 3e, which I currently play. I also plan to get the d20 Modern sourcebook when it comes out and convert my Alternity game to it. I didn’t start playing RPGs until I was 20, so I’m a late convert.

Currently I’m playing nothing, but I’m trying to change that.

I have played D&D, Champions, and Talislanta.

I’ve tried Vampire, Shadowrun, Cyberpunk 2020, and Paranoia.

I own (in addition to many of the above) Star Wars d20, Star Wars WEG, Call of Cthulhu d20, Feng Shui, Adventure, and GURPS.

Howdy… I’ve played Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, D&D, Shadowrun, Toon and Amber on Tabletop. LARP has been Vampire/Werewolf only. it’s been all Cons for me lately. Come to BASH Con at the University of Toledo this Febuary.(details on UTs Website)

** Flutterby** one of the best games I ever ran was the Vancouver cell. So help me it is the only cell that tries to be something more, and even dare I say Hopefull in the WoD. Long live Prince Sigfried and the CCCs!

Oops–I left out Call of Cthulu and Shadowrun. I didn’t get to play them for very long before our groups broke up.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who remembers Toon.

I’ve played all the old-school stuff, mostly D&D and Call of Cthulhu and Toon (And for extra added bonus points, combined Toon and Call of Cthulhu). I DM’ed a 2-year campaign, ending this past March, and am now DM’ing my first 3rd Edition game, a total dungeon-crawl, in anticipation of starting my next campaign sometime next month.

Mostly AD&D, Champions and Fantasy Hero, but I’m currently on hiatus on account of getting tired of GM’ing for people who won’t learn how the game system works.

I used to play D&D, Torg and Paranoia, but none of these in years.

These days, all I play is Shadowrun (currently running one campaign and playing in another). I’m also doing some freelancing for them.

I’d love to try In Nomine, Little Fears, Nobilis, and Call of Cthulhu but just haven’t gotten around to it.

I used to play AD&D, Runequest 2, Champions, Marvel Super Heroes, and Fantasy Hero in college, along with a really cool homegrown system invented by a guy who was in my gaming club.

I tried to play/run a Cybergeneration game once, but it didn’t really happen.

Right now, I’m in a World of Darkness LARP. I used to play Changeing (I was an eshu), but then the Changeling part of the game died. So I went to play Sabbat, mostly because that seemed the part of the game that was most likely to survive. So now I’m playing a Malkavian antitrib.

I might-but-probably-won’t get to play tabletop Vampire at school–if I do, I will play my Eshu, who will have been embraced by a Ravnos.

I’m currently playing AD&D, Rifts and Amber via email with three different groups.
