Hell, I wouldn’t favor this because we need accountability, but I’m pretty sure Trump would switch parties and sign whatever Congress passes if we just promise not to prosecute him when he leaves office. Maybe throw in a couple concessions to appeal to his ego, like letting him keep the ballroom or changing the name of the 51st State to Puerto Trumpo.
As his last official act, Picard got Q to fix the timeline.
It is not fixed yet, but it is a lot more hopeful.
I haven’t seen a lot of claims from Republicans that the election was rigged. They were beaten so badly they’re not even trying that narrative.
My expectation is that they’ll try it with a couple of the closer ones, just not the whole election in general. I’m thinking the Mississippi and Alaska Senate races in particular if they end up going to the Democrats. (It looks like Mississippi at least is likely to, who knows with Alaska thanks to ranked choice.)
The ‘Downfall clip with subtitles of trump reacting to bad news’ meme was more of a first term thing, but I just found this one on my YouTube feed, and it’s pretty funny:
I lost it at, “There is a need to feel down!”
Midterms song, from the great Jesse Welles:
I haven’t seen one of these for a long time (they were getting overdone), but this one was fantastic. And hilarious. Particularly the part about Melania enjoying the Iranian memes.

I know it’s a joke but I always thought this movie looked pretty good. Has anyone actually seen it?
It was an important film in Germany in 2004 and a box office success. I don’t know how it sold outside of Germany, but at least it had an Academy Award nomination for best foreign movie.
I dunno if anyone’s made this joke yet, but Donald Trump is now a lame duck a l’orange.
I don’t know about that joke, but German Spiegel Online has this:
The bubble reads: “And next to the new ballroom we’re now going to build a great pond for lame ducks!”
It’s IMHO a genuine acting tour de force by Bruno Ganz (the pretty famous German actor who plays Hitler). Well worth it just to watch him.
It’s a must-see movie…moving, gripping, and interesting insight of those involved then.
Alas, one of my pet-peeves is how many people only know of that film through that scene of Hitler’s rant, usually subtitled to fit whatever attempt at humor the poster of some youtuber or social media site is trying to make. It’s a shame that such a great work is made light of. ( glad I got that off of my chest
)
I’d always heard it was a good film, so I watched it out of curiosity and I was absolutely blown away by it. One of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
I disagree. I don’t think it is being made light of at all. Rather I think it’s a testament to the sheer force of Ganz in that scene that makes it work as THE universal unhinged rant.
I agree about Ganz’s acting, but I mean “make light of” in the sense that it seems nobody cares to see that scene within the actual context of seeing the film because they turn their noses up at the film.
NYT headline. Unintentionally humorous or not?
Maine Voters Finally Saw Through Susan Collins
Good indeed for Maine but it should also be noted that the onerous Paul LePage has pretty much clinched one of the House seats there.
