Long time listener, first time caller here. Dittoes, Cheddarsnax and keep up the good work!
You ain’t kidding – they put on a hell of a show. The last one I went to (at the Masquerade in Ybor a couple years ago) had a nearly naked 20-something guy suspended from hooks in his back, swinging all over the place. You could see the blood running from his back piercings down his legs. 'Twas awesome.
Stop it. I feel very Grandfatherly about Britney. I want to hold her in my lap and rock her back and forth and tell her little stories and kiss her goodnight and put her to bed and tuck her in and stuff. I think a grandfatherly experience like that is missing in her life, and she would benefit from it.
So would you, am I right?
Those wanting to keep tabs on what Rush is doing, without actually having to listen to the show, can do so here:

Appropos nothing, Seymour Hersh maintains that we are seeing just the tip of the proverbial iceberg:
Well, it ain’t Rush, but Fred Phelps is blaming Clinton for the whole torture in Iraq thing.
Dude, have you ever been to a teeny-bopper concert?
I was plannin’ on it, but once I saw the testicle wires, I figured it’d be best to stay home.
Oh, you said “tuck”. I read that wrong.
And not one R. Kelly reference yet.
I am very, very disappointed.
:smack: Were you not aware that Bill O’Reilly is Satan in the Pit? Quoting any O’Rielly interview that is non-contentious and “proves” he a fundie is a no-no here.
Check above spelling and tell me I don’t know how to cover my ass.
Well, I didn’t catch the Rush (The Orca of the Airwaves) thingy, but I did happen to catch a clone of his, Michael Medfly. He offered the brilliant insight that the tormentors of the Iraqis were “probably homosexuals”.
I swear, I’m not making this up.
Are you honestly saying homosexuals can’t torment people? I had no idea you were so close-minded. C’mon elucidator, you’re not that bigoted are you? :dubious:
Of course not! I may have been tormented by a homsexual myself. I’m not entirely sure, she never actually said she was a homosexual.
Rush is still conducting his business while high as a weather balloon on the “little blues”.
I can think of no other excuse for such record levels of cognitive dissonance.
I love Rush’s show. I listen to it whenever I can.
You guys’re just unaware of an important element. Rush himself says that you’ve got to listen to his program regularly for at least six weeks before you can really get what he’s talking about. Try it. You’ll like it.
Anyway, here’s the gist of it:
Rush makes fun of his listeners who listen to him. He makes lots of subtle jokes that aren’t always apparent.
He has a very, very dry sarcastic wit.
He’s a hoot.
Six weeks, regularly, at least
On preview, it seems worth noting that I, however, am not being sarcastic, but rather an opposite.
When I read the title of this thread, I thought, “SOMEBODY wants some attention!” Then I read the OP and discovered that there is indeed a legitimate link between the elements in the thread title.
I am sure that through the magic of right wing control of talk radio and broadcast media such as Fox, Rush’s thoughts will eventually morph into a meme along the lines of, “Britney Spears, under instructions from her Secret Evil Mentor Bill Clinton, has deliberately structured her music and concerts to make American soldiers torture captured Iraqis, thush making the American military look bad.”
“Hit Me Baby, One More Time” indeed.
“thush making” should read “thus making”
I swear I wouldn’t have made that mistake if it weren’t for all those Britney concert torture videos I’ve been watching.
A bit ironic, is it not? 'Evil Captor in a thread about the abuse of prisoners…
