Rush have decided not to tour any more

4th row, center stage!

Primus opened.

That show was 6 weeks before I graduated from Iowa myself.

Interesting tidbit from article:

"Reaction from the Rush fan base was generally confused, with some questioning the bands replacement. Most vocal of these, was current Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, an ardent Rush fan.

‘I’ve been a Rush fan since High School,’ said the United Speaker of the House. ‘It’s safe to say that they turned me onto Ayn Rand, who guides my every decision.’"

huh.

gee, thanks alot, Rush :dubious::confused::eek:

Again, ;).

Have a look at the masthead of the publication (and its weather report).

whoa - chemtrail reports - ok that’s a new one on this codger.

Even the site’s name…“Scooper”…sure, I get the journalistic “scoop” reference, but scoops can be used for other things too, I guess.:stuck_out_tongue:

My first Rush concert was in San Antonio, TX at the Municipal Auditorium, and was to support the new album “2112”. Thin Lizzy was the opening act.

My last Rush concert in Concord, CA at the Sleep Train Pavilion on June 26, 2011 .

As a drummer I was always impressed with Neil Peart. I loved the wall of drum equipment.

Which, actually, it is. From Wiki:

“By-Tor & the Snow Dog” was inspired by Rush roadie Howard Ungerleider’s story of him staying at Anthem records manager Ray Danniels’s house, where Danniels’s German Shepherd growled at him, and a tiny dog also owned by Danniels tried to jump on him. Ungerleider told the band members about the incident, which they found hilarious.

Push it any longer and it turns into elder abuse.

Cool, you caught the end of their white shiny robe phase.
Niel was still using Slingerland, then? How many Rush gigs you’ve seen?
Were Mr. Moore and Mr. Lynnot in good form with TL?

7th row center stage!

I was a huge Rush fan in high school, and saw them on every tour from “A Farewell to Kings” through “Grace Under Pressure”. I lost interest when they moved into their synth-heavy phase in the 80’s and missed about 25 years, but saw them again on their Time Machine tour a few years back. So glad I got to see them one last time!
