On friday, Rush Limbaugh read some shocking excerpts from Obama’s senior thesis at Columbia – a thesis which had been heretofore hidden by Obama and the White House, but which had now been uncovered by Joe Klein. The thesis, entitled Aristocracy Revisted contained criticism of the “so-called Founders” of the United States and called the Constitution “hypocritical.”
Here’s an excerpt that Limbaugh read on the air:
Limbaugh, in a full bore fit of righteous indignation called Obama a “little boy” (which I guess shows marginal progress from when Limbaugh called Obama a “little black man-child” last year) and said “he still shares these feelings” (with whom, I have no idea).
All well and good, but unforunately for Rush, the thesis was bogus. It was written as a satirical piece on a conservative blog, passed around in the conservative tard-o-verse (including fox news which posted it as fact on its website) until Rush struck at it like at a fat trout.
Here’s the best part, Limbaugh was made aware during the course of the broadcast that the thesis was fake, but still defended it by saying “I know Obama thinks it.”
That’s terrific. It is permissable to make any accusation about what anybody has said as long as “you know they think it.”
I guess that means it’s ok to say that Rush Limbugh has admitted to loving rough sex with truck drivers because even if he never said it, I know he thinks it.
Recently I pointed out that scummy guys like Beck and Hannity drank from the global warming denier’s well and twisted what a climate modeler said. Making him say the opposite of what he had said at a climate conference.
You would think that they had access to fact checkers (hah! :p) but at least the fact checkers that Rush has demonstrate that they are alive at least.
However, it is clear that they are not very useful even when they do help Rush.
Gotta agree. El Rushbo screwed the pooch twice on that one. First by not having it verified; and secondly by pulling, as you say, the Dan Rather excuse to wave it away.
People are saying Rush Limbaugh was there when Glenn Beck may or may not have raped and killed a young girl in 1990 too. I don’t necessarily believe it, but there are questions that need answering. And I just know Rush would have been there, if it did or did not happen.
Well, I know people are saying that, but its totally unfair until we have a thorough and complete investigation. And these rumors of gay butt-sex between Rushbo and Beck are disgraceful and (so far as has I know) entirely unfounded, and I will not advance such slander.
I’d feel just awful if I didn’t point out the Limbaugh sized hole in your argument. We have no proof that either Limbaugh or Beck have ever thought or are capable of such things.
Still, though, I’m sure the American people would like to hear their reassurances that nothing improper happened. That’s not unreasonable. Why would they resist calming the concerns of the American people?
I heard Beck and Rush were both founding members of NAMBLA. I find it disturbing that they have not opened up their financial records to prove otherwise. Do they have something to hide?
