“Is ship listing? NYET! It is just leaning, like cool kid slouching way into smoking area at school! Ukraine is just jealous of how cool ship looks! Is James Deanovich of ships!”
wild applause for “listless”.
Wiki is right on it.Ropucha-class landing ship - Wikipedia
Noted that this ship has taken a hit in the text and the table regarding all the ships in that class.
Tell them that the Donbas remembers. Tell them that winter has come for House Putin.
Please don't reply in this thread about Agent Orange
As I understand it, Agent Orange itself is safe for humans, even in the long term. The problem is that the production process (at least, the process used in the Vietnam era) resulted in high levels of dioxin impurities, and it’s those dioxin impurities that caused cancer in humans exposed to it. A different production process, or a way of removing the impurities, could then result in an herbicide that doesn’t cause cancer.
At least, that’s my understanding, but I welcome correction from anyone more knowledgeable.
Please, not in this thread. I’m going to hide your reply as it is so far off-topic.

Heavy brush and high weeds will increasingly be a major problem on the Ukrainian battlefields. It’s already been reported on Guardian. Heavy vegetation will cause many deaths for both sides. It’s perfect cover for minefields.
It’ll be interesting to watch the weapons aid packages and see what equipment and herbicides NATO provides to clear vegetation from the battlefields. I would expect aerial spraying with modern chemicals. The Russians would want to poison the ground and make it useless for farming.
back on topic:
it seems the ship has become infirm … and it is def. out of commision for any war duty … they probably only prop it up to avoid the embarrasment of it sinking … (which it still might)
Between bombing ports next to Romania and Wagner training next to the Polish border thereby making Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia nervous, Putin’s really stirring up the nest these days.
Moderating:
Enough with the herbicide pondering. You can start a new thread, but drop it from this one.
Looks like it’s leaking fuel or oil into the water behind it.
Reports of multiple explosions at the Crimea bridge.
It appears a Russian tanker was struck by something:
Here’s what I found for a news story about explosions, also shots, near the bridge.
Also a more restrained story from Reuters.
Russia is getting better at jamming GPS guided bombs like JDAMs.
Holy shit, there’s new video:
That’s just some AI generated fakery.
That’s from the attack on the bridge in October 2022, or at least a photo of that attack forms the basis of the faked video. It’s not totally clear, but it seems that the bridge was not attacked tonight, or at least not damaged.
pics of the imobilized tanker …
.
(do I see an implicit “stop bombing our ports/grain and we’ll stop sinking your ships”-agreement in the cards???)
