Yeah, it landed on a kindergarten or something of the sort.
Despite the location being in a war zone I’m guessing it’s just pure accident in this case. They still happen in war zones. It’s another tragic loss for Ukraine regardless.

Kyiv is pretty far from the front for conventional anti-aircraft activity. Could be a tragically run-of-the-mill mishap. Could theoretically be sabotage.
Maintenance falls behind in a war. A lot of skilled people have fled the country.
Reports are that the weather was foggy/hazy at the time, that is, with reduced visibility.
Due to air raid warnings hazards lights on buildings may have been turned off. Maybe inoperable due to power interruption?
Maintenance is certainly less than ideal in a war zone. So mechanical failure could be a factor.
Pilot error is always on the table.
Russian foreign minister Lavrov compares international support for Ukraine against Russian invasion to the Holocaust:
Who was he delivering this speech to?
“At his annual press conference”, according to a news report. In the background, it says Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. So, presumably, he’s speaking to Russian “journalists”.
We ARE conducting a proxy war against Russia. We’re also doing the right thing by doing so. Maybe they shouldn’t have started a war for us to proxy our way into.
Yeah, but that’s not comparable with the Holocaust.
We are not, however, trying to murder all the Russians.
It just flabbergasts me that Lavrov can say this crap with a straight face, and that the Russians apparently believe it (or at least pretend to).
Of all the countries directly and indirectly involved in this war, only one has expressed the desire to destroy a nation and its people. And it ain’t Ukraine, or the US, or any members of NATO or the EU.
Same as it always was. I just finished reading “The Rise and Fall of the third Reich”, and that was Hitler’s big shtick. Everyone else in the world had it in for the Germans, Germans in other countries were being abused and killed, and it was all part of a plan to keep Germany down forever, yadda yadda yadda, and he kept that up right until the end.
And then, as now, a whole lot of people bought it.
Presumably the domestic listeners/viewers.
Oh, those poor, oppressed Russians! [/sarcasm]
Seems to me the best “final solution” to the “Russia question” is for Russia to quit being such dickheads all the time. But maybe it’s just me.
Look, the Russians have a really long history of being oppressed.
Of course, mainly by their own leaders, but still.
Yeah, but that’s not comparable with the Holocaust.
We are not, however, trying to murder all the Russians.
I thought that went without saying.
It just flabbergasts me that Lavrov can say this crap with a straight face,
He knows that if he doesn’t, there’s a window somewhere with his name on it.
I do wonder whether he can say it with a straight face because he actually, deep down believes it. If he were 100% sure that his answer would never get out, would he be able to acknowledge the truth, or is he actually a true believer?
Ukraine has Friends in high places.
What does it mean the two men are in opposition? Are they now enemies?
Former PM tells of crucial operation, which was launched covertly due to pro-Russia sympathies in political class
The former Bulgarian prime minister Kiril Petkov and finance minister Assen Vassilev said their country provided 30% of the Soviet-calibre ammunition Ukraine’s army needed during a crucial three-month period last spring, and at times 40% of the diesel.
The men, who are now in opposition, have described along with the Ukrainian foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, the remarkable operation mounted by the small Balkan state, which officially was refusing all requests to arm Ukraine, in interviews with Die Welt.
They are no longer in power. They are in opposition = their party doesn’t rule.
