Let’s see the Commie media run with this one, you won’t hear a peep I’m sure, as well as the hundreds of Obama appointed holdovers in the federal government.
OP, you seem to be under the misapprehension that the controversy lies solely in the fact of the meetings and discussions. This is not the case.
You also don’t seem to think there’s a difference between Obama meeting him while in office and the President-elect’s staff doing so before he takes office. This is not the case.
“Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak Appeared As Obama White House Visitor At Least 22 Times.”
And Obama covered it up too: I was completely unaware of this — even unaware of the Ambassador’s name — until this alert Doper brought it to our attention. AFAIK it was never mentioned by Rachel Maddow or the other fake news outlets. Thank you, arfurvirus — I’ll remember you for this!
How do we know it was just 22 meetings anyway? If the log-keeper admits to 22 meetings, don’t you think he might have really met 23 times? Or 33 times? I hope Congress starts an investigation to get to the bottom of this.
And this might just be the tip of the iceberg. Given how Obama felt about the Iraq War, I’d bet money he also met with the French Ambassador! arfurvirus, would you look into that for us?
This reminds me of when the Access Hollywood tape was rebutted with a video of Obama reading from the autobiography of Malcolm X. OMG he said pussy too!
There is a difference between public, on-the-record mettings (Obama), and clandestine meetings, later lied-about (Trump’s People, and perhaps Trump himself).
… The majority of our well meaning Trump Derangement Syndrome having Leftists can’t
come to grips that Hillary Clinton, (who hopefully goes to prison) sent 20% uranium capacity to Russia, as The Clinton Foundation received a magical $500,000 “donation” from Russia, at the same time.
All kidding aside, if I put on a badge and start passing myself off as a cop, I’ll get fined and jailed for impersonating an officer – but, like, when a cop does it, everybody just looks the other way, man. It’s a bleedin’ double standard, is what it is.
What does the OP believe the job of the Russian ambassador to the US is? I think it’s to meet with his counterparts in the US government about diplomatic issues. Since the diplomatic corps is part of the executive branch, one should not be surprised to see ambassadors meet with members of the sitting executive branch. One should not expect to see campaign staff meeting in secret with foreign dignitaries.
So you’ve abandoned your assertion that Obama and his staff meeting with the Russian ambassador is significant in some way? Oh, arfur, you disappoint me. Where’s your perseverance? You were so certain in the OP and yet you’ve given up already, reduced to changing the subject.
If Trump and his campaign staff (including his son-in-law) are proven to have worked in collusion with the Russians to win the presidency, I wonder how that will be spun by the brainwashed Republicans? If this had been a Democratic president, they would be threatening the president’s life.
