Both these guys are nutcases, based on the abundance of bad press they (and The Tater Tot) have generated over the years.
Tater Tot says she just believes Ryan started in on Griffin, Ryan says Griffin was beating the shit out of Redmond so he swooped in to protect him.
They could lock up the lot of them forever and Hollywood’s entertainment machine would never miss a beat, but who do you think is the real bad guy? Will Griffin’s girlfriend spill her guts? Will Redmond turn on his dad? Will Farah stay in remission?
Hard to tell. To say that family has issues is to understate. I can imagine a certain festering resentment on the part of Griffin - his dad did punch out his two front teeth years ago. Ryan is certainly no Ward Cleaver, and I can imagine the strain of the cancer thing with Ms Fawcett could cause a lot of tension. Tatum wasn’t even there when it happened, and since she probably has even MORE resentment against Ryan, I don’t think her opinion should count for too much. Was other son Redmond even there?
They’re both known to be hotheads but I’d like to hope that Ryan has mellowed a teensy bit with age. Griffin, however, has many more demons than the entire family and I could easily believe he essentially started it by hitting Redmond.
From what I understand, Ryan is basically being charged in relation to discharging the firearm. His being charged doesn’t prove he’s the instigator, it just proves he used a deadly weapon. As for whom attacked whom first, the police probably don’t really have anything to go on since there’s going to be different stories but they do know that Ryan used a gun so he’s the one being charged.

If there’s any truth to that account, the whole lot of 'em should have been taken away. Tying someone up who OD’d on PCP? They would have taken him to the hospital AGAINST his will!
