Ryan and the congressional Republicans to investigate the FBI.

Not so much proud as having less to be ashamed of. That, and still being capable of it.

As a comentator at MediaMatters puts it. “The real criminal negligence was for the Republicans to allow Donald Trump to become their nominee for president.”

So we’ll just take it you have no cites or evidence to show charges should have been brought, just like the FBI found. Thanks for clearing that up.

So you (and any ‘ilk’ you may have) have no known credentials that would lend credence to your opinions, or any evidence to back up your assertions, but you expect everyone to agree with you because…you’re you. Or something.

Got it.

Not saying there is anything to it but Mr Clinton is the one who appointed her U.S. Attorney for Eastern District of New York, her first federal appointment.

Yep. Let’s view a rushed, two-day poll with a small sample size that was taken almost directly after the fact as gospel.

Oh, looks like you missed the part where the FBI found what they were told to find.

Sorry 'bout that.

Then link to it.

And then explain why charges are warranted.

He made it very clear why he didn’t recommend charges. He indicated that he got his orders from the AG. “no reasonable prosecutor”… well…guess who would be prosecuting…the AG’s Department. It was a clear dog whistle.

“deliberate lie”… is there any other kind?

Care to quote what he said?

“Rushed” seems like a silly term to use here. An event happens, you call people and you ask them about it. It’s not as though they were in a big hurry and forgot to ask half the questions or phrased them very poorly.

But obviously, we’ll see what the true results are in the upcoming weeks. Right now, it’s the first bit of evidence in the effect this whole thing is having.

(my bold)

I swear, are you guys even trying?

… and yet you heard it.

And why would it have been called in publicly? Why would someone go to all the trouble to suborn a criminal investigation…in a public place?

That’s the trouble with this kind of conspiracy fantasy: it requires that wicked people have secret mastery of all kinds of hidden power and unguessed secrets – and at the same time be totally stupid.

(One paranoid goofball on a right-wing hate-radio interview explained how Clinton’s entire career is based on bribery; he named the dummy corporation that distributes Bill Clinton’s speaking fees, and how they are all quid pro quo payments for favors. Okay… How does this jerkwad on the radio know this…but the FBI can’t figure it out?)

Dog whistles are bullshit.

In any case, they dont prosecute for these sort of violations. They are administrative. You get a letter in your file, have to go for training, that sort of stuff.

As opposed to presidential polls, which average 4-7 days. Sounds like they wanted to beat everyone to the news cycle on Monday. Sure seems rushed to me.

And you have repeatedly failed to provide a cite to anything supporting that. C’mon, get with program and at least make an effort.

The average general election poll on RCP right now is 3.25 days (low end of 1 day and high end of 6 days). Less than even the low end of your supposed range.

But you seem pretty vested in insisting that this poll must be wrong so go ahead and roll with that.

Heh your ‘low-end’ happened in 3 of 108 GE polls that RCP lists going back over a year. It just happened to show up once in the last two weeks, which is obviously where you got your average.

But hey, you’re right, polls taken immediately after the fact always reflect people’s decision-making 4 months down the road.
