Ryan and the congressional Republicans to investigate the FBI.

As much as I love being right, and thanks for giving me the praise, I don’t remember saying that.

It does, however, give a snapshot of what people are thinking now, same as any other election polling. I’m not sure why you’re resisting the idea so much except that I assume you’re one of the people hoping this was the silver bullet to end Clinton and now you’re pouty that it wasn’t.

Have you ever read any of my posts?

I am one of the staunchest Hillary defenders on this board. I’m also one of the very many people here who think Trump is at best a bad joke. And finally, I’m on record (if you want to bother to look it up) as doubting the usefulness of polls, especially one that’s based on a small sample size taken so soon after an event. Cf. attitudes toward guns immediately after San Bernardino compared to a few months later. Therefore, I am arguing that the point of publishing a poll is for no other reason than to denigrate Hillary, because the effect will have diminished greatly at any point where it actually matters.

Are we clear enough now? Have I explained it to death yet?

Probably not in any way to connect it to your name. There’s only a few posters here that stand out to me as an immediate “He likes this guy” or “He’s the guy into such-and-such”. that said, I misjudged your motive so apologize for the aspersions.

Sure. You can just say “This will have largely faded by the time November comes around” instead of going on a screed about how this must be a flawed, rushed, biased, no-good poll based on results you don’t like. The poll can be reasonably accurate (as much as a poll can be, MOE and all that) and not necessarily predict sentiment months out.

Although, in this case, the sentiment seems to be a collective shrug or better from 70% of voters and a fist-shake from the 30% who are likely already voting for the other guy anyway. So I still have no idea what you’re so worked up about but that’s fine.

Sorry, this never works on me. I’ll read brilliant analysis or humor here, but not file it in my brain as “Johnny’s Pithy Paen to Pantsuits”.

Dougie Monty presumes this. He’ll start a post with something like “You recall Brenda from my story of the Shitty Chevy last year, well…” And someone always has to ask for a Shitty Chevy link.

(At least you didn’t ask “Do you know WHO I AM?” Whenever an angry customer would ask that, I’d whisper to a co-worker “Gandhi? Madonna? Eisenhower? Am I getting warm?”)

Except that I’m not referring to some anecdote from a single post in the distant past. It’s literally hundreds that show a clear trend, and the commenter is one I’ve seen post in those same threads, so theoretically it should be obvious.
