After the dust has settled what do you think will be some of the distortions about the capture?
What I predict is that the suggestion that G.W.B. knew where S.H. was all along but just isolated him in this ‘spider hole’ till we are closer to election time. Also I predict the suggestion that the same thing will be said about Osoma.
The other spin direction will be “who cares about WMD, we got the Big Bad Wolf”. In fact, it’s already happening - just heard Blair’s speech now talking about a bright new future for Iraq. Not the illegal invasion thereof.
After all, has not the right in the US been saying “Focus on the positives” all along. This will be ultimate solution for the republicans. Until they realize that Americans have a 20 second attention span.

Despite this statement and others like it, every time there is a future coalition attack or casualty we can expect all the Bush-haters to scream: “BUSH SAID THAT ONCE WE GOT SADDAM THE ATTACKS WOULD STOP. HE WAS WRONG! LOOK! HE WAS WRONG! BUSH LIED TO US!”
