Safe House?

Does it seem to y’all that in a movie or TV show, a “safe house” is the LEAST safe place to be? I mean, does anyone ever get out of a safe house in one piece?

True. The worst example was in Traffic, where the cops clearly were clearly Keystone rejects.

In A Few Good Men (one of my all time fav movies, even though I generally can’t stand Tom Cruise),

they put the guy in the safe house (motel) but didn’t search him… with dire results.

Don’t know how to make that spoiler box thingy. *

It’s all part of the narrative. They don’t show the stuff that’s not important to the story. So if they show a character in a place that’s supposed to be safe, it’s because the character is actually in danger.
