Safety Tip: Never take a cost off before you should...OUCH!

Some of you may know I bashed my finger into oblivion last week and got a cast on my hand subsequently. So last night it was itching to all hell, my finger felt fine, but the itch was in a spot I couldn’t reach with my wifes nail file (story for a different time) so I undid the cast thinking I’d be fine, I’d just put the splint on it…Well to my surprise I could move my finger’s with ease, and the smashed finger felt amazingly good! I was psyched! The cast was getting in the way of everything, the most inconvenient was taking a shower! That and having to be at commencement with a cast on my hand…

Anyway, after taking it off, I ate dinner and everything was fine. We went to bed not problem I thought I was in the clear, then around 12:30 a.m. I rolled over on said finger and it must have bent the wrong way…because I was awoken out of a sound sleep to seething pain! One thing led to another, I splinted it to my middle finger and wraped it tight. This morning I noticed no swelling…but decided to go to the walk in and have it checked anyway…

One x-ray later I was fine, but the female doc. said I was lucky I didn’t re-fracture it. She gave me a new kind of splint and I was off…

Even though I learned my lesson, I was happy to have the damn cast off!

Doh!! :smack: that should be Cast not Cost…

Does this new one come with a lock on it? Dumbass.
