Sign my cast!

This past Sunday, in an attempt (fortunately successful) to save my stupid, ungrateful dog (who is an adorible widdle mutt), the ring and middle fingers of my left hand are now broken. And yes, I’m left handed.

So, now, after a visit to the orthopedist, I am the proud owner of a cast from my hand halfway up to my elbow. (Amusing conversation in the doctor’s office. “It’s a little mis-aligned, so I have to re-break it and align it. Do you want it numbed first?” “Umm, yeah!”)

So, Dopers, grab your sharpies and write your wittiest, pithiest, (or mundanest and silliest, whatever) comments on my cast!

hmmmmmmm whity - usually, pity - never, mundane - most often, silly - when I’m tired enough ;), whatever - OK.

My first cast…no clue how I reached 45 and never signed a cast, but you have the honor of being my first… now, don’t you feel special :;

btw, how are you typing??? that must be taking forever! how long do you have to have it on? did they give you great drugs? if so, will you share?

angelabaca, I still have my thumb and index finger free, so I can write, although not terribly neatly or extensively. Ity’s really amazing what you can do as long as you have your thumb and at least one finger.

cadolphin, see above, although you are right, it is taking me forever. I have to have it on for three weeks, so it’s not so bad. I got some Darvocet, feel free! :wink:
