Luna is on her best behavior right now. Despite her energy level and the likely frustration of being alone more than usual, she is making every effort to be a good girl. So I have to make the long drive home from the hospital to take care of her, but really we’re taking care of each other.

sailboat, I so admire your grit and grace in facing down a truly horrendous situation. In addition to the beautiful love you obviously have for your wife, your first thoughts have been for all those who have been adversely affected and damaged by this disgusting episode. Your good character and that of your wife are an inspiration.

I’m sorry I’m so late here, but I want you to know that you and your wife are in my thoughts, sailboat.
I have been following this event with tears in my eyes. Even more so since I saw this thead. I don’t always post a lot here, (look at my join date v # of posts) but the people here are very important to me. I’ve been sending good positive thoughts (and prayers, since I am one of those progressive Christian unicorns) to sailboat and spouse.
Also, it gave me a good STFU to someone who told me to “Stop worrying about stuff happening in the USA, its not as though its affecting you personally”
