(gesundheit!)
A friend of mine just got back from Italy – my present was a little jar of Salsa Tartufata, which is, apparently, truffle sauce of some sort. Ingredients: 'shrooms, olive oil, truffles, more 'shrooms, capers, etc. When I asked him what I was supposed to do with it, he wasn’t entirely sure.
Any ideas? Serve it over pasta? Spread it on bread?
TIA!
Google says it’s a great treatment for veal, steaks, chops, and roasted meats. Sounds yummy.
You angling for a dinner invitation?
Silly me, it didn’t occur to me to google it – how’s lobster ravioli with truffle sauce sound? ** drool **
Heh! After I hit submit, I was thinking Dopefest at Twickster’s joint! We’ll figure out what anything edible goes with, resourceful lot that we are!
