I heard about this new (well, I guess it’s actually a very old) drug called Salvia. I did some research on the 'Net, and some sites promise a hallocanigenic high, while others claim it has a minimal and brief effect. The drug’s legal pretty much everywhere except Australia, but lawmakers in the States are currently trying to ban its sale.
Anyhow, anyone out there ever try it? What’s it like? What are the health risks, aside from the obvious harm that can come from inhaling any type of smoke.
I’m interested in hearing someone’s factual, first-hand experience…not rhetoric (positive or negative). Thanks:)
Erowid has lots of factual, first-hand experiences. Including how some people weren’t able to get the full effect at first, and how they achieved “breakthrough.”
Its effects can be extremely mindblowing, but the peak effects last for only about 5 minutes or so.
They sell it in local headshops here, so I think it’s becoming something that people know about/are asking for…
Anyway, I’ve always been to cheap to shell out for the concentrated versions, and the one time I bought some of the raw leaf, I got a whole lot of nothing. And then there was one time where for like one minute everything looked weird and I couldn’t stop laughing. It wasn’t scary or anything, but it wasn’t fun. Basically it’s more expensive and less effective than lots of… well known alternatives ;).
