Sam Stone believes Trump's tweets

That’s like saying that because you’ve grown up in a mainly Christian society then you have to be a Christian even if you don’t think you are.

I don’t get your point. Most people born into mainly Christian societies actually end up Christian, so maybe your point is that many or most people born into a racially biased society end up racially biased themselves – if so, then I’d agree with you.

Sam says he’s not a racist and you asked him how he avoided racist messages and the way you said it made it sound like you were saying he was racist even if he didn’t know it. What I’m saying is that there are lots of christian messages in our society but that doesn’t mean youll necessarily be a christian. Are you a christian?

You may not be a Christian, but you probably take part in Christmas sales.

I was saying he might be influenced by the racism and bias in society, and asked him what he’s doing to make sure that he isn’t.

Influenced in a racist way? Also are you a christian? If you don’t feel comfortable answering that’s ok

You were asking him if he could avoid messages he can’t even detect, which would be difficult to do anything to avoid if you can’t detect them.

No I wasn’t. Read it again.

There is still a lot of “Christ” in Christmas … :grinning:

I did, several times, and do not want to go through this again. It already felt like gaslighting when I read it the third time.

Okay, I’ll rephrase:

I was saying he might be influenced by the racism and bias in society, which can be difficult for white people to detect, and asked him what he’s doing to make sure that he isn’t.

The issue is that I didn’t see you asking him rather than assuming, although I could have missed something, but I do think the rephrasing is pretty agreeable.

A friend of mine, upon finding out that I’m an atheist, said that I’m not really an atheist because I still observe Christian concepts- like visiting family for Christmas, saying “Oh God”, that sort of thing.

My response was, “Happy Thor’s Day!”

She didn’t get it.

Here’s the post again, which was explicitly a question: “How have you managed to bypass or suppress all the messages society has been sending you, most of which white people don’t even detect, about the inferiority of black people and the superiority of white people?”

More bullshit peddling. A willingness to believe any old goofy nonsense about Biden rather than seeing the obvious truth that Biden cares about his supporters while Trump does not.

I can’t bring myself to search out which right wing lunatic was first to suggest this so that Sam could JAQ off with it.

Eight letters, starts with V…

For the record here’s the breakdown of the page counts from volume one of the Mueller for various aspects of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

  1. Social media ~20 pages
  2. Hacking and leaking ~30 pages
  3. Collusion ~100 pages

Sam acknowledges that 1 happened, has his doubts about 2, and is absolutely certain that 3 didn’t occur.

Fucking. Bonkers.

No, it’s saying if you grow up in a mostly Christian society, you’re going to have absorbed mostly Christian ideas of morality and behaviour, unless you e.g. make a conscious effort to only follow Buddhist precepts.

And by the way, who the fuck are you, “newbie”-who-is-suddenly-so-active-in-multiple-contentious-threads?

Misplaced!
