If a choice is offered, Kim Possible or Shego, please.
If not, Danny Phantom or orginal characters.

My pal, Mike San Giacomo should be there. He wrote a book, [Phantom Jack - Wikipedia](Phantom Jack) , and will be at a booth with other projects and stuff.
I wish I could go. Never been able to make it work.
Hm, AFAIK, Bruce Cambell’s not there this year. Sam Raimi is, though. So’s Stan Lee and Kevin Smith (who’s going to be a busy man that weekend, apparently) among others.
Still wondering if I’d be able to make the drive to SD and get my badge in time to see George R. R. Martin at 12:30 Friday…
(Of course if I was any kind of fanboy, I’d just go Thursday and flop at a Best Western in Oceanside or something…)
Bruce Campbell will be there Saturday for a panel on Brisco County Jr.
George will be in Room 6B. Get there early.
 Oceanside? Be sure to bring plenty of gasoline.
Better idea: Stay downtown or, if you can’t afford that, in Mission Valley.
I got news for you…there are zero hotel rooms closer than Old Town for that weekend. They sold out back in February. We, luckily, got a room at the Con hotel, which will be noisy but close.
Old Town is very close. It’s tough to think of a better place to stay.
Next door to the Convention Center? Across the street?
Well, OK, tough to think of a better place for anyone who isn’t Stan Lee to stay.
A few miles away, but there is a major San Diego Trolley station in the Old Town neighborhood. The Trolley will be running, Friday through Sunday, special event service direct to the Convention Center that will include a stop at that station. According to the page I linked to, Thursday will be regular service all day; that day one would have to make one change of trolley cars to get to the Convention Center from Old Town.
No change necessary. You can get on the Orange Line from the Old Town stop any day of the week.
Ummm, not meaning to start an arguement, but please take a look at the system map.
:smack: My bad. I was thinking of the Green Line. My apologies.
I don’t take the trolley downtown much, ya see.
No problem.
If anyone does take the Trolley from Old Town on Thursday, you’ll get on the Blue Line going south, then get off at America Plaza to catch the Orange Line to the Convention Center. For the other days of the Con, the special service direct to the Convention Center will be designated the Red Line.
Bosda,
Bad news. I followed the link you provided to Stephen Silver’s blog and put in a comment on his posting about going to the Con, asking if he would be doing sketches. Unfortunately, he replied in the negative.
Darn. :smack:
I’m going Thursday, pretty much to shop. I’ve gone the past 3 years and have had an absolute blast every time. I must say I’m much less excited this year since there are no Buffy/Firefly/Serenity upcoming events to preview, but it will still be fun. That’s why I opted for Thursday instead of Saturday, altho I may get p-u-l-l-e-d back for another look on Saturday. I think I’m going to register online tomorrow if my girlfriend hasn’t managed to wheedle me a pass from some of her IT staff .
Aah, I wish I were younger so I could wear something sexy and really friggin’ bizarre… sigh

Everybody who is going, stop by and see my friend Becky and her boyfriend Frank who will be maning their http://www.combustibleOrange.com booth. Becky is a damn good artist and you ask her nicely she will pretty much draw you anything in no time at all. If I get them out in time, you might also get a button I made (but don’t count on it).
If any of you run into her I will pay you to ask her “Do you want to play carnival?”, it would make my year.
