San Diego Dopers--Recommend a bluegrass/mariachi/folk band for my wedding!(please)se

We’re getting married on Father’s Day (Sunday, June 16th) and having the reception at the Prado (in Balboa Park). It’s going to be a family oriented cocktail reception kind of mellow wedding, but I’d kind of like a nice live band. We like bluegrass (think Yonder Mountain String Band ) but we also love the Gipsy Kings, and fun folk–like Dar Williams, or Robert Earl Keen —no Bob Dylan wannabes or my dad’ll tear his head off. So anybody out there in touch enough with the local San Diego music scene to be able to help us out and find a good band who will deign to play -gasp- a wedding reception?
P.S.(and nobody too expensive, I’m thinking 500 smackers and hoping that’s not “smoking crack” but I’ve already found out that when the word wedding or bridal is announced it marks whatever it is up at least 300%)

Please…you’re my only hope…

(Can you believe I’m not “allowed” to go down the aisle to the star wars theme!?!)

Aw, c’mon! Somebody out there has to know a group that’s not too “cool” to play a wedding reception but still good…

They do exist, don’t they?

Sorry I can’t help you out.

I’m here in San Diego, but I don’t know anyone in a band of any kind.

Honestly I wouldn’t even know where to go to find one!

Good luck to you…hopefully there’s some internet searching that can be done…I’m afraid there aren’t too many of us here in SD!
