Sand Animation

I provided this link in another thread, but it seems as if a lot of people haven’t seen it, and it really is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen on the Internet. Sand Animator Kseniya Simonova won “Ukraine’s Got Talent” with a remarkable performance about Ukraine during World War II. It’s really worth seeing.

Extraordinary. Beautiful. I have relatives who were in Ukraine during WW2; my grandmother was an artist from Kiev and her brother was a submarine captain, so I found it personally moving as well.

Takes finger painting to a whole 'nother level, haha.

That gave me chills. Amazing.

I didn’t know anything like sand animation existed. That video is just incredible. That artist definitely does have talent! Not only does she make some very nice “pictures” in the sand, her presentation is powerful and moving.

WHATEVER! Ukraine’s got TOO MUCH talent.

That was amazing on many levels.

A bit of contextabout this amazing video:

What song is it that made everyone cry?

It is a song called “Cranes” which goes something like this: “Sometimes I dream that our soldiers who did not return from the bloody fields, did not lie down into our earth, but turned into white cranes. Since those bygone days until now they have been flying over us and sending us their calls. Could that be the reason why we often get quiet and look up into the sky with sadness?”
