Sanderista primaries out 10-term Dem Congressman

I like Alexandria, but for me the excitement is not about some special lady with a silver bullet on a charging stallion named ‘Trigger’, nor on her possible Presidential candidacy in 2052. It was her electoral success, rather than any special personal genius, that is so inspiring.

Having said that, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez seems quite intelligent to me. She isn’t quick on her feet to answer an unexpected question, but I can sympathize with that! (I was very expert in certain fields but often became tongue-tied when suddenly called upon.)

First of all, I don’t think it’s necessary for a freshman Congressperson to be expert in all matters. The main fault found, I guess, is that she used the unfortunate term “occupation of Palestine” but then corrected herself. (Anyway, if the illegal settlements aren’t a form of “occupation” please send me whatever dictionary you’re smoking!)

I didn’t want to respond until I watched the entire video; my to-do list was long; when I finally got around to finishing the video a mistaken click forced me to reload the video … and the reload icon never went off.

… So I searched “Alexandria Firing Line” at YouTube to see what all the fuss was.
