Doing her job as press secretary does not mean she is an asshole, and even assholes have a right to be served at any rate. I hate her politics, and I hate her boss even more, but she still has a right to be treated as a human being. To do less than that is deplorable. If she freaks out or poses a danger to herself and others, then by all means eject her. But not before that threshold has been reached.
The response has to be immediate. She is being discriminated against because of something she said on TV some time ago, not because of her current behaviour. I don’t have to like the woman, but I will serve her if she comes into my store. She is still a customer.
I disagree. Some behavior is unforgivable by those of us who love our country and it’s values. She has forfeited her right to be treated as a respectable member if society. Peaceful resistance to everything and everyone associated with Trump is essential and praiseworthy.
Now maybe this is just my Canadian ass misunderstanding the situation, but how long ago do you think she said the things on TV that caused this? Because my understanding is that this gap was less than a week, which makes your defense weak as all hell. So am I misunderstanding something?
She poses a danger to others every time she stands behind that podium or does anything else that enables Trump.
Did I read this quote on this board? If so, pardon my paraphrase:
“How unfortunate that Sarah Sanders was judged, not by the color of her skin, but on the content of her character.”
I don’t think assholes have a right to be served. There are no laws to that effect, and I disagree that there’s a standard of behavior that assholes must be allowed to be patrons.
There are plenty of press secretaries that have done their job with professionalism and integrity. I do not believe SHS meets that bar. So yes, press secretaries aren’t always assholes, but that doesn’t mean that press secretaries can never be assholes.
Holy crap, this is some serious question answering avoidance. I for one would not, totally not, tell the Nazis about the guy behind the basement stairs. That was easy.
That’s quite the hyperbole. Mrs. Sanders isn’t a danger to anyone.
This entire administration is a danger.
She was just following orders, was she? That’s enough. As for her right to be served, she doesn’t have one. And human beings have been asked to leave since the first human being asked the second human being to leave. No one says she doesn’t belong to the species Homo Sapiens Sapiens, just that she’s a vile example of same. Invite her into your home if you like, I wouldn’t give her a glass of water if she were floating.
Where would Trump be if deplorables weren’t willing to lie and defend him? Oh yes, she’s a danger. Somewhere deep in what used to be her soul, she knows it too.
Was the entire Clinton administration a danger because of his misdeeds?
No.
Of my forays into monogamy, I have never cheated. Proud of that, though I kinda wish it had been more difficult.
He lied about getting a blowjob, She lies about things that are a danger to the fundamentals the country is built on.
It was several days. If you’re trying to train a dog, you don’t wait until a week or even several hours later to impose a consequence. Otherwise the animal won’t make the connection. The same can be said of humans. Now if she were caught mid-tantrum, that’s a different story.
…Sarah Huckabee Sanders is not a fucking dog. She is, as you say, a human being and the same cannot be said of humans. We can’t train Sarah. She is a human being, with agency. What we can do though is say “if you choose to be rude, if you choose to lie to the American people, if you choose to defend a serial liar, if you choose to lead an attack on the free and open press, and if you stand for policies that we believe will hurt the people of America, then we will not serve you.” You don’t escape consequences for your actions just because they happened " a few hours ago." You don’t let murderers go because they committed the murder yesterday.
No in your face and hounding people at movie theaters or grocery stores. The fact that elected officials encourage this is worrisome.
Protest all you want, but do it with class. I predict this will hurt the Dems on election day, some of their words being used in commercials.
…like taking a knee?
You mean like encouraging chants of “lock her up” about a rival? And encouraging supporters to "knock the crap out of " protesters?
