You stated, “So doorhinge’s claim that it’s “usual” for posters here to claim that the arresting officer murdered Bland would appear to remain short on supportive evidence.”
I did not claim that it’s “usual” for posters “here” to claim that the arresting officer murdered Bland.
People on the internet, which includes those mentioned in the linked articles posted in this thread, have accused the sheriff and jail staff of murdering Bland. That’s a fact. It’s been proven that everyone who had claimed that the police had murdered Bland, were wrong. That’s also a fact.
In order to solve the puzzle of Sandra Bland’s suicide, I believe it’s important to include all of the possible reasons that might have influenced Bland’s decision. There’s the traffic stop, the arrest, the take down, the jail time, the job search, the move to another city, the recent loss of an unborn child, the self-cutting/attempted suicide, and not being able to find someone to post her bail.
So I’m seeing claims that the cause of Bland’s death has been changed from “suicide” to “homicide by strangulation,” but I can’t seem to find other sources. Anyone know anything about this or its context?
Social media. Only I can’t find what I saw anymore because of the avalanche of news about the street on which she was arrested being renamed in her honor.
But a few scattered bits of info seem to indicate that what I saw was a jumping of the gun, which I should’ve figured from the fact I couldn’t find anything on Google. I can’t be sure these were referring to the same story or original source, but for now, my apologies for the diversion. It was just so widespread at the time I saw it that I was wondering if something actually was happening in that regard.
At the point you reached “naming the street for her”, your bullshit detector should have pegged.
I wonder if maybe the stories represent two opposing fantasy/disinformation sources. The story stressing murder stoking the suspicion and mistrust of black folks and the bullcrap about renaming the street mostly from crackers saying “Look, see how they are taking over everything!” Two different clumps of false, two streams of bullshit from entirely divergent sources.
Guess somebody crossed the streams. Never a good idea.
“CT rumor” refers to “CT scan”, that is, a rumor about an alleged CT scan revealing a definitive anatomical fact that confirms her death was an intentional homicide?
Er… yeah. What youse guys said.
I should have read ahead to see if anyone else had corrected the error, but it was so wrong and delivered so confidently that I couldn’t resist.
