Sandra Bullock on September 11th

I knew you weren’t attacking her. You were pointing out a nice thing she did. I just mentioned that I’ve seen her dissed a lot in other threads, and I don’t understand why.

On re-reading the thread, it looks to me like only two posters (wring and GopherGod72) really questioned your intention. Apart from me, that is, if you read my post as accusing you of attacking her. Which, to repeat, it wasn’t.
(Oh, and by the way, that last line in my first post should have read, “I**'d** do her.:D”)

some people know the right thing to do when the chips are down. sandra is one of them.

remember on the sdmb we had a “call a loved one” chain going that day.

why did I think you were antagonistic? well, after your OP, a couple of people posted “wow, that’s cool” or stuff like that, and instead of agreeing with those sentiments, your response was

which is why I asked what your intent was.

wring, since when is “yes, everyone” not an indication of agreement?

you wrote (and I quoted) “yes, but”, so your point seemed to be ‘different’ than “Sandra’s a nice person”.

hence my question.

You know, it was a polite question. The more you insist that it was inconceivable that anyone would question it, the less polite it becomes.

I believed that your post was ambiguous, asked politely for clarification. A simple “gee, I didn’t mean it that way” would have done a whole lot more IMHO than this insistence that there was nothing ambiguous about your post.

I would think that she probably put the subjects lines as something to the effect of “It’s Bob, I’m ok.” If I had a relative named Bob in Manhattan on Sept. 11th I certainly would have opened and believed that email.

I wish she would paypal me!
